Nicelle Beauchene Gallery is pleased to announce the opening of Third Floor, a new project space in an apartment on the Lower East Side. The inaugural exhibition, Housewarming, will feature sculpture and painting that references and recreates domestic space, staged throughout the entire apartment in place of furniture, décor, and functional objects.
The focus of the new space is to push the parameters of a domestic platform and to play with how these spaces have traditionally been perceived. The aim is to produce ambitious site-specific installations, in conjunction with varied traditional and nontraditional projects that will add context to the gallery program at large. The exhibitions will range from solo presentations with new artists, group exhibitions, as well as presentations of work by gallery artists that normally would not be the focus of a solo exhibitions at our main space.
Third Floor will be open by appointment only. For further information, please contact gallery@nicellebeauchene.com.
